At the ceremony, the organizer awarded 100 scholarships valued at VND2 million each to studious poor students. The scholarships are funded by Truong Hai Auto Corp (Thaco).

Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-chief Tran Huy Thanh of Dong Nai Newspaper said that during the past 15 years, the annual program provided 2,116 scholarships totaling over VND2.6 billion to local disadvantaged students, aiming to encourage them to continue efforts at school. He expressed his thanks and wished that the program would continue to receive support from the Thaco and other sponsors. So far, Thaco donated VND1.5 billion to award 1,116 scholarships to needy students.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Hoa Hiep highly appreciated charitable activities by the newspaper and the Thaco and hoped that they would continue efforts to share difficulties with students in the coming years.
