Dong Nai's students win silver at ASEAN Skills Contest

(ĐN)- Two students of Dong Nai Vocational College in Bien Hoa city, who have recently won silver medal at the ASEAN Skills Contest 2016 held in Malaysia, were awarded certificate of merit from the Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs.

 

(ĐN)- Two students of Dong Nai Vocational College in Bien Hoa city, who have recently won silver medal at the ASEAN Skills Contest 2016 held in Malaysia, were awarded certificate of merit from the Ministry of Labour, Invalid and Social Affairs.

The wining subject of the students, named Pham Van Chien and Tran Phu Thanh Nha, was related to mobile robotic technology which is applied at sea ports. Accordingly, the robots will be designed, made and programmed to lift and lower product packages to expected locations.

At the ASEAN Skills Contest 2016, the Vietnamese delegation was represented by 44 young skilled workers competing in 22 occupational skills. Vietnam won ten gold medals in six skills, six silvers in five skills and four bronzes in five skills, ranking third in the competition overall. In addition, 15 competitors were presented with certificates of excellence.
