(ĐN)- Dong Nai Union of Friendship Organizations (DNUFO) on November 17 organized a ceremony to mark the 66th anniversary of traditional day of Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations.
Speaking at the event, Chairwoman Bui Ngoc Thanh of DNUFO said that over the past two years, with its role as a social-political organisation focusing on people-to-people external relations, the DNUFO has showed itself as an active, flexible, innovative and effective agency, contributing to the province’s reforms and development.
The organisation has helped with the collaboration with foreign non-governmental organisations (NGO).
As a result, the province raised more than VND19 billion from 22 foreign NGOs to implement 35 programs, projects and non-project assistance.
On this occasion, Vice Chairman Pham Van Phuong of VUFO stressed key tasks of the people-to-people diplomacy and asked the province to continue to boost people-to-people external relations in order to expand and diversify the friendship and cooperation with people in other nations.
