World Day of Road Traffic Victims marked in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Traffic Safety Committee held a remembrance ceremony for road traffic victims on November 18.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Traffic Safety Committee held a remembrance ceremony for road traffic victims on November 18.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyen Quoc Hung of the provincial People’s Committee called for all people to abide by traffic regulations, drive safely and share the grief suffered by victims’ families.

After the ceremony, the province’s leader and representatives of departments and sectors visited and presented gifts to patients caused by traffic accidents in Dong nai General Hospital.

Earlier, transportation safety committees at all level sent delegations to visit families of dead victims, particularly those in difficult circumstances.

As known, traffic deaths in the province decreased but the number of deaths were still high since the beginning of this year.

Remembrance Day aims to highlight the severity and consequences of traffic problems across the province, and to raise awareness of the public about the issue.
