(ĐN)- According to Dong Nai provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment, more than 304 tons of hazardous garbage are discharged in the province everyday, and over 291 tons are collected to be treated, accounting of nearly 96 percent.
The hazardous waste is collected to be recycled, treated by burning, and ashes generated from incinerators are made solid for producing bricks or safety burying.
As of mid-May this year, waste treatment enterprises at 9 planned waste treatment zones in Dong Nai have invested to build 8 hazardous waste incinerators with daily capacity of more than 100 tons. Most of the collected hazardous waste is treated, about 1 percent is buried.
