41 environmental protection projects get preferential loans

(ĐN)- Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee on April 1 presided over a meeting with the Management Council of Environment Protection Fund to review the fund’s activities over the past time.

Established in 2007, the fund has so far raised its total capital of VND116 billion. Over the past nine months, it provided preferential loans totaling VND142.5 billion to 41 environmental protection projects at local establishments, farms, small and medium enterprises.

Accordingly, the fund encouraged enterprises to access it for their projects to enjoy lower interest rates than at banks.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman suggested the fund to continue to support production companies which are looking for greener business, focusing on wastewater treatment projects and household solid waste treatment.
