(ĐN)- Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh recently had working session with related departments and sectors on supporting vocational training and creating jobs for households in the project area of Long Thanh International Airport.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh asked related departments and sectors to check the demand of vocational training for local people, labor recruitment demand of enterprises. He also requested Long Thanh district’s People’s Committee to make its utmost efforts to provide vocational training for people living in the affected area, helping them to have jobs and stable their lives.
Long Thanh International Airport will be built on 5,000 hectares of land in 6 communes of Long Thanh district. As many as 4,730 households with nearly 15,000 affected people in the district will be relocated to make room for construction of the project. Nearly two thirds of the 15,000 affected people, who reside in Binh Son, Suoi Trau, Cam Duong, Bau Can, Long An and Long Phuoc communes in Long Thanh district, are of working age.
