(ĐN)- In the first six months of the year, Dong Nai provincial Red Cross Association and its agencies spent more than VND58 billion for humanitarian assistance activities and health care for people.
Moreover, the association mobilized over 15,600 blood units to ease the blood shortage at local hospitals, presented 25 cows worth VND369 million to households with difficult circumstances.
In the remaining months of this year, the association and its agencies will continue efforts to implement the campaign entitled “Each organization, each individual associated with one humanitarian address”, build charity houses, provide free surgeries, medical check-ups and medicints to needy people, organize voluntary blood donation campaigns, and offer free meals for poor patients.
