(ĐN)- Candles were lit at cemeteries in localities across Dong Nai province on July 27 night in memory of fallen soldiers who gave their lives for the nation.
The candlelight vigil formed part of activities jointly conducted by the Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincial Youth Union and Department of Education and Training to commemorate the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).
At the provincial Martyrs Cemetery, some 3,000 youth and officials offered incense and wreaths at graves of revolutionaries and soldiers.
On the occasion, gifts were also presented to hundreds of families of invalids and martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers.
