It is the ministry’s sole official awards to organizations, individuals and communities with excellent performances in environment protection.
The biennial awards ceremony is held to honour and encourage organisations and individuals for their significant contributions to natural resources and environmental protection in Vietnam.
The awards also aim to raise public awareness of environmental protection, effectively coping with climate change, as well as in production and consumption with consideration for the environment.
Initiated in 2001, the awards have been presented to hundreds of organisations, collectives and individuals around the country.
