This year’s theme for World Environment Day "Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care” calls on each person, each country and each territory to protect the earth with practical activities in production and consumption.
Addressing the meeting, Vice Chairman Vo Van Chanh stressed that departments, sectors and social-political organisations, and local people should pay more attention to raising everyone’s awareness of environmental protection and turn their understanding into practical deeds, called on them to determine their own role and responsibility, not only in response to World Environment Day but also throughout the year, in a move towards green economy and sustainable development.
After the meeting, the leaders joined local people in planting trees, and clean up the environment.
