According to the association, among 9,114 people who are suffering both physical and mental pains caused by dioxin, 4,900 have been got social welfare.
Over the past three years, the association raised more than VND16 billion to help 3,000 AO/dioxin victims with difficult circumstances. Particularly, it presented nearly 800 saving books, built and upgraded 71 charity houses, awarded 715 scholarships, gave over 15,800 gifts and provided monthly allowance of VND250,000-500,000 to AO victims, etc.
In the first past of the five-year term, the association has admitted around 2,200 new members, bringing the number of its members to more than 4,700.
