He said that first and foremost, a sufficient supply of essential goods must be ensured while maintaining control of product quality and food safety. Accordingly, the Department of Industry and Trade should take more drastic measures to stabilize the market, boost consumption to meet the soaring demand of residents in the province during the traditional holiday. The department also plans to organize mobile sales trips to bring necessary goods to remote areas, industrial zones and complexes in large quantities on numerous occasions before Tet. This is also part of our effort to avoid a huge surge in demand right before the holiday.
He told the transport sector to sharpen its safety focus in managing the busier traffic during the long holiday.
Chairman also requested the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and local administrations to pay due attention to the poor, the elderly, families of war heroes and victims of natural disasters.
The departments of Transport and Public Security have been suggestted to make travel during the holiday convenient and safe, and to maintain political security and social order.
Local market watch forces have been ordered to focus on tracking and supervising foods sold in the market, stop smuggled and counterfeit goods that will be in high demand during the holiday.
