In 2014, the Fund raised more than VND4.9 billion from organizations and individuals to help 7,057 disadvantaged children across the province.
Particularly, it provided free heart surgeries totaling over VND2.4 billion to 33 kids, presented 1,100 scholarships and 1,800 Tet and Mid Autumn gifts to children with difficult circumstances.
Besides, the fund cooperated with delegations of doctors to offer free medical check-ups and medicine to around 2,000 children and provide treatment for 20 poor kids with cleft lip/palate.
The fund targets to mobilize some VND5 billion in 2015 to assist children with with fatal diseases, heart diseases, cleft lip/palate and burn scars.
