At the ceremony, the organizer awarded 130 scholarships valued at VND1.5 million each to studious poor students from primary to high school levels. The scholarships worth a total of VND195 million, funded by Truong Hai Auto Corp (Thaco).

Over the past 12 years, around 1,916 poor students with excellent achievements in study got “Overcoming difficulties for brilliant future" scholarship totaling VND2.2 billion. Of the total, the Thaco donated over VND1 billion. So far, many scholarship receivers have graduated from university and have stable jobs
Speaking at the ceremony, Editor-in-chief Tran Huy Thanh of Dong Nai Newspaper hoped that the program would continue to receive support from the Thaco and other sponsors. He also pledged that the newspaper would do its utmost to share difficulties with students in the coming years.
