Dong Nai has invested VND13.8 billion modernising the equipment needed by the vocational training centres throughout the province, reported Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs.
Of the capital, Dong Nai vocational training college has received VND5.5 billion to support the modernisation process and Long Thanh – Nhon Trach vocational training college has been assisted with over VND5 billion.
The majority of the capital has been used to buy modern machinery and equipment similar to those used in foreign invested enterprises, providing students the opportunity to practice on equipment suitable for future jobs.
According to the provincial Department of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, this year, vocational training schools have successfully organised high quality training courses on industrial electronics, mechanical devices manufacturing and thermal technologies, all meeting international standards. The schools have also worked with enterprises within and outside the province to find jobs for the trainees after graduation.
In 2014, the department has assisted the schools in training 400 teachers to meet international standard.
In the near future, the province will send a number of vocational training teachers to Japan to increase the quality of their teaching knowledge and skills, contributing to the provision of higher quality graduates for enterprises.
The dynamic aims to make one vocational training college of both regional and international standards, with 2 other schools meeting the national standard by 2020.
Earlier, on November 20th, the Lilama 2 Technical and Technology College in Long Thanh district became the first Vietnamese vocational training school accredited as a member of the European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB). Under the certificate of recognition, the college will offer international training program achieving the European Qualifications Framework (EQF). Accordingly, graduates will receive qualifications accepted in 100 countries all over the world.
