(ĐN)- The construction plan for Long Thanh International Airport will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration in the coming time.
Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee has recently set up an investigation team to identify the number of displaced locals and survey the local’s need for jobs to serve site clearance, compensation and resettlement
According to new figures released by the Committee, 14,462 locals, including 9,222 people in working age, will have to move to make space for the airport.
Over 4,540 families will be affected by the project, with 3,816 houses covering more than 350,000 sq.m to be displaced.
Currently, the province has approved two resettlement projects in Loc An and Binh Son communes.
