(ĐN)- Bien Hoa city People’s Committee on October 4 held a ceremony to unveil Vo Nguyen Giap Street. The event was attended by Vice Chairpersons of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee Phan Thi My Thanh and Nguyen Thanh Tri, along with the province's former leaders and army force.

At the ceremony, the committee’s leader announced Resolution No.122/2014/NQ-HĐND to name a new street in Dong Nai after General Vo Nguyen Giap. The resolution was adopted at a meeting of the provincial People’s Council on July 11.

The new street, 12.2 kilometres long and 40 metres wide, connect Trang Bom district and Bien Hoa city.
The naming of the street shows the gratitude of local authorities people to the beloved general on the occasion of his first death anniversary (October 4).

Earlier, the participants offered incense in tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his temple at An Vien Vinh Hang cemetery in Tan An commune, Vinh Cuu district.
