(ĐN)- Various activities have been held across the province to celebrate 84th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union (October 20).
In the morning of Oct 19, Lao Dong Newspaper in cooperation with the provincial Women’s Union and Taekwang Vina’s trade union to provide legal knowledge and reproductive health information for 1,000 female workers. A quiz program and a lucky draw with attractive prizes were also launched at the event.
Trang Bom General Hospital and the provincial Women’s Union has recently held a talk on gender equality. At the talk, the participants who are doctors and nurses of the hospital gained a better understanding of Gender Equality Law, effective implementation of gender equality and strategy on gender equality for the 2011-2020 period.
On this occasion, Xuan Loc district Women’s Union organized a meeting to mark 84th anniversary of Vietnam Women’s Union and review five years of implementing mass mobilization work in the locality. Over the past five years, the union raised more than VND2 billion from over 7,000 members.
