(ĐN)- 65 inmates in Dong Nai have been given clemency on the occasion of National Day (September 2).
Of the pardoned prisoners, 54 receive a reduction of their terms and 11 are released early thanks to their redemption progress.
The clemency aims to encourage prisoners to reform themselves so that they can return to society sooner.
On this occasion, Dong Nai's Entrepreneurs Fund for Public Security provided preferential loans worth VND20 million each to two released prisoners to help them stabilize their lives.
