(ĐN)- A ceremony was held at Tran Bien Temple of Literature to review the 2014 voluntary youth summer campaign, which runs from June 1 to August 30 by Dong Nai provincial Youth Union
This year’s campaign attracted the participation of more than 6,000 local students and young people in a range of activities to promote good urban living style and build new-style rural areas, presented more than 3,700 gifts, 592 scholarships and 20 bicycles totaling over VND1.5 billion, provided free medical check-ups and medicines to some 2,800 people and donated over 6,000 blood units
In addition, volunteer teams assisted students from other provinces and cities who come to the province for the university entrance examination.
Addressing at the ceremony, Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department Huynh Van Tinh praised efforts of youth members to contribute to the province’s construction and development.
On this occasion, 25 collectives and 46 individuals received certificates of merit from the provincial Youth Union for their contributions to the campaign.
