(ĐN)- More than 40 young people on June 25 departed from Bien Hoa city for Ly Son island district of Quang Ngai province as part of the “Youth Journey for National Sea and Islands” programme.
The 4-day trip has been launched by the Bien Hoa city’s Youth Union.
The participants are scheduled to visit Ly Son lighthouse, museum of cultural artifacts and historical evidence proving Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagoes, presented gifts to navalsoldiers.
On this occasion, the union gave six sets of drum to schools in Ly Son, presented 10 gifts to fishermen with difficult circumstances, donated VND5 million to forest planting program in the locality.
