(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Steering Committee for Forest Protection and Development last week inspected forest protection and forest fire prevention work in the peak of the dry season in Trang Bom district.
Seeing the high risk of forest fires during the dry season, the district directed forest management boards and local authorities to come up with plans to prevent forest fires.
Relevant units were asked to inspect forests that are at high risk of fire, to deploy forces and fire extinguishers in case any fire occurs.
Trang Bom district has 2,000 ha of forest with the rate of forest coverage of 6.07 percent.
