The main ceremony was organized at Hung Kings’ Temple in Binh Da ward, Bien Hoa city with the attendance of Head of the Commission for Communications and Education Huynh Van Toi, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council Huynh Thi Nga, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri, together with leaders of departments, agencies and people from all corners of the city.
At the ceremony, the province’s leaders offered incense and laid wreathes to commemorate the legend of the nations forefathers, the Hung Kings.

Earlier, a contest for making Banh Chung (square glutinous rice cakes) and Banh Giay (round glutinous rice cakes) drew teams across the city.
Tan Hiep ward’s team won the Banh Chung category while the Quyet Thang ward’s team triumphed in the Banh Giay category. The two teams get the chance to offer their traditional cakes to the Hung Kings at the altar.

Besides, a special art performance was also held at the Temple on this occasion.
On April 8, Tran Bien Literature Temple’s officials and employees also held a ceremony in commemoration of the Hung Kings.
