(ĐN)- In the first quarter of the year, Dong Nai provincial Women’s Union and its agencies raised more than VND4.2 billion to help local poor women.
Accordingly, the union presented nearly 8,000 gifts totaling VND2.3 billion and built 13 charity houses worth over VND560 million to difficult beneficiaries.
Besides, the union cooperated with hospitals to provide free medical check-ups to poor members.
In this period, the union’s members have tried their best to help each other to develop production. Accordingly, rich members supported fertilizer, seedlings and breeding animals for poor veterans, provided preferential loans totaling more than VND1billion to members with difficult circumstances to develop household economics.
