Politburo member and National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan made the statement during her working visit to inspect the building of new rural areas and the economic performance of Xuan Loc district in Dong Nai province on April 5.
During the session, the NA Vice Chairwoman asserted that building new-style rural areas is a key policy of the Party and the State. She praised the district’s outcomes, with an annual average per capita income reaching VND31 million (roughly US$1,460).
NA Vice Chairwoman Ngan also acknowledged the district’s suggestions and asked relevant central agencies to provide support and create favourable conditions for the locality to develop in a sustainable manner.
She noted that local leaders should focus on seeking ways to increase the income of local people, develop high-quality human resources, and step up the restructuring of production to better suit local conditions.
