Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) held a meeting in Paris on February 27 with French benefactors and organisations to introduce its charity projects in Vietnam and call on raising fund for the implementation of projects to support the disadvantaged children in the country.
Christina Noble Children's Foundation (CNCF) held a meeting in Paris on February 27 with French benefactors and organisations to introduce its charity projects in Vietnam and call on raising fund for the implementation of projects to support the disadvantaged children in the country.
At the meeting, the President of CNCP, Christina Noble, told a story about her unhappy childhood in Dublin, Ireland in the 1950-1960 period and how she came to Vietnam in 1989.
During 20 years in Vietnam, she witnessed abandoned children to earn their own living in parks, streets in HCM City. Therefore, she set up a fund named Christina and mobilised individuals in Ireland and other nations to raise funds and implement charity projects in Vietnam.
On the occasion, CNCF screened some extracts of films to introduce the hardship days to establish the fund and projects in Vietnam. These films will be screened in London and Paris
The fund has implemented projects to support the disadvantaged children in HCM City, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Ben Tre and Ca Mau.
She has been awarded with Friendship Order by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs and other certificates of merit from the municipal and provincial’s people’s committees.
She emphasised that global crisis has not prevented her from contributing to the fight against poverty to bring smiles to children.
