Troops help local people enhance public sanitation

Nearly 1,000 cadres and soldiers in the Nguyen Hue University, under the Defence Ministry, helped local people in Long Thanh and Thong Nhat districts in Dong Nai province to clean up the environment on April 28th.

 

 

Nearly 1,000 cadres and soldiers in the Nguyen Hue University, under the Defence Ministry, helped local people in Long Thanh and Thong Nhat districts in Dong Nai province to clean up the environment on April 28th.

Particularly, the troops had cleaned up and repaired 8km of roads, dredged 5km of drainage ditches, tidied up public facilities and schools in the two localities.

According to Senior Lieutenant-Colonel Vu Tien Thanh, Head of Board for public relations and special propaganda of the University, along with these activities, the unit also disseminated the role of the historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign in 1975 as well as inquired after and presented gifts to local beneficiaries.

These are part of the activities to celebrate the Liberation Day and the International Labor Day (on April 30th and May 1st).
