Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front Committee has basically completed the construction and handover of 1,000 compassionate houses to the poor across the province.
The houses are built at a total of more than VND40 billion, of which the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) funded VND20 billion, the remaining money was mobilized by the fronts in the province’s districts, town and city.
Apart from the above houses, Xuan Loc, Nhon Trach, Dinh Quan districts and Long Khanh town also raised additional funds to build dozens of houses, each worth nearly VND60 million.
In 2012, Dong Nai’s districts and city have presented 1,300 charity houses to poor households. To date, the province has basically completed the program to eradicate temporary houses for the poor.
