The number of serious accident has sharply increased within the district in recent months, with 19 cases in the first three months, killing 23. In comparison with the same period of last year, it increases nearly 73 percent in the number of cases and more than 100 percent for dead victims.
“Traffic police should increase patrols a night and add more equipment like alcohol concentration and speed-indicator device. The Transport Department must fix all unsafe equipment speedily, and authorities should raise public awareness about traffic responsibility,” Thai said.
Roads where accidents frequently occur will be closely watched by traffic police.
On this occasion, Chairman also asked all 11 districts and Bien Hoa city to take measures to reduce the number of accidents.
