Long Khanh’s efforts to promote blood donations

(ĐN)- A ceremony to launch summer blood donation campaign was launched in Long Khanh town on June 3 by the town’s Red Cross Chapter.

After the launching ceremony, more than 300 officials, policemen and young people registered to donate their blood. Accordingly, 211 blood units were collected and provided to hospitals.

From the beginning of this year till now, Long Khanh town’s Red Cross Chapter in cooperation with Cho Ray Regional Blood Transfusion and Haematology Centre organized 8 humanitarian blood donation programs and received 1,200 units of blood, fulfilling more than 70% of the set target for the whole year. The town’s rare blood club has mobilized 40 members, while the number of voluntary blood donors has increased to more than 2,300.

In the coming time, Long Khanh town will continue to promote blood donations by disseminating information and launching contests on this subject.
