Dong Nai launches fund to help poor cancer patients

(ĐN)- A Cancer Patient Assistance Fund was officially launched in Dong Nai Wednesday. Fund founder, Vo Van Mot, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee attended the event.

The Fund will mobilize financial resources from both inside and outside the province to help poor cancer patients undergoing treatment in Dong Nai-based hospitals. It is placed under the management of the Provincial People’s Committee. Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien currently acts as the president of the Fund and Deputy Director of  Dong Nai Polyclinic Hospital Dr. Ngo Duc Tuan as the Director of the Fund.

The fund has raised more than VND 1.45 billion so far from 67 organisations and individuals. At the launch ceremony, the fund supported 5 poor patients receiving cancer treatment in Dong Nai Polyclinic Hospital and each received VND 15 million.
