(ĐN)- The Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association held a ceremony on February 28 to review its activities in 2010 and discuss tasks for 2011. Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga attended the event.
In 2010, the Association organised various events and activities for its members, encouraged its members to compose literature and art works as well as promote their works to the public, discovered new and emerging artists in the fields like music, literature. photograhs, theatre… Especially, 30 works by members of the association won high prizes at local and international contests. In addition, the Association also organised a number of literature and art composing camps inside and outside the province for its members.

On the same day, the Association held an awards ceremony for the artists who attended the contest of composing works related to the theme “The magnanimity of Dong Nai - Thousand-year old city of Thang Long-Hanoi”. The contest’s organising board received 262 works submitted by 99 artists from provinces and cities in the southeast region. Prizes were presented to 32 best works including 17 literary works, 14 songs, 9 works of art and 2 works of folk culture. Particularly, Phuong Lieu, a journalist from the Dong Nai Newspaper took home first prize for her article entitled “Nguyen Tri Cong – A typical farmer in the modern period”
