(ĐN)- Over the past four years, Dong Nai Golf Association raised approximately VND3 billion from its members, golfers and sponsors to help the poor across the province.
Particularly, the association cooperated with localities to award more than 160 scholarships each worth VND1.2 million to outstanding poor students, donate VND1.2 billion to provide free eye surgeries to 400 poor blind people, offer financial support for 130 poor families across the province. In addition, the association spent nearly VND880 million to build 55 charity houses for difficult households in Cam My, Long Thanh, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, Vinh Cuu and Tan Phu districts.
Chairman of Dong Nai Golf Association Le Nhat Dinh said that, over the past time, the association and its members have tried their best to make effective contributions to community, help poor households and students overcome difficulties.
