(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Natural Resources and Environment is coordinating with departments, agencies and localities to launch activities in response to the 2011 World Water Day (March 23) themed, “Water for urban development”.
Accordingly, seminars, talks and screenings of documentaries on water resources will be held from March 16-31 to raise the public awareness of protecting water resources.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the demand for water keeps rising in
World Water Day 2011 will focus international attention on the impact of rapid urban population growth, industrialisation and uncertainties caused by climate change, conflicts and natural disasters on urban water systems.
