The Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) has received congratulatory messages from 103 parties from 69 countries, 14 international organisations and friends on the occasion of the 11th National Party Congress.
The messages expressed solidarity, friendship and co-operation with the Party, State and people of Viet Nam, showing the deep interest in the Congress – the most important political event for the country.
Politburo member and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung , on behalf of the presidium and the Congress, thanked foreign political parties and friends for their co-operation with the CPV, describing them as evidence of the Partys international ties.
"These [messages] are a great source of support and encouragement for the Vietnamese peoples renewal process initiated and led by the CPV," he said.
The CPV affirmed its willingness to expand relations with communist and workers parties, left-wing parties, ruling parties and other political parties, as well as national independence, revolutionary and progressive movements around the world to develop friendship and co-operation among nations.
