More than 700 officials, people and students in the district registered to take part in the campaign and 300 of them were selected to donate blood after conducting the screening tests. Overall, 300 units of blood were donated.
Over the past time, Thong Nhat district has made significant efforts to improve the number of voluntary blood donors. In 2009, the district attracted around 2,000 voluntary blood donors, this number is estimated at more than 5,000 in 2010.
