(ĐN)- Over the past ten years, 2000-2010 period, Dong Nai raised over VND123 billion to help more than 93,700 poor households escape poverty and stabilise their lives.
Particularly, the money was used to build and repair charity houses, visit and present gifts to policy families, provide free heart surgeries to poor kids, offer scholarships to disadvantaged students, build houses for poor ethnic minority households.
In the coming period, the province will continue its efforts to raise more funds for the poor and implement policies on sustainable poverty reduction.
