(ĐN)- Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in Dong Nai province have actively participated in social and charitable activities over the past five years, according to Venerable Thich Hue Hien, member of the Vietnam Buddhist Sanghas Executive Council and Deputy Head of Dong Nai province Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee.
Particularly, they contributed about VND44 billion to build 400 charitable houses, open charity classrooms, present gifts and scholarships to poor students, provide free eye surgeries to poor blind people and assist typhoon victims, etc.
