(ĐN)- On May 25, a delegation from the provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee led by Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee Bui Ngoc Thanh visited the Executive committee of the provincial Buddhist Sangha on the occasion of the upcoming birthday of the Buddha.
Mrs. Bui Ngoc Thanh extended congratulations from the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee to Buddhist monks and nuns and followers. Thanh praised efforts of the provincial Buddhist Sangha in doing religious affairs and charity work. She also called on Buddhist dignitaries, monks, nuns and followers to materialize their guiding principles of religious tenets, nationality and socialism, live a well-blended religious and secular life, and make active contributions to national construction, as well as actively engage in patriotic emulations and record new achievements to welcome the big national holidays.
Superior Buddhist monk Thich Minh Chanh, Head of the Executive committee of the provincial Buddhist Sangha thanked the provincial authorities for their help and support over the past time.
On the same day, the delegation visited Venerable nun Thich Nu Dieu Tan in Long Son Thanh Dong Pagoda and Superior Buddhist monk Thich Dieu Tam – the highest-ranking monk of Phi Lai Pagoda in Bien Hoa City to extend the congratulations on the occasion of the 2554th birthday of Buddha.
