In 2009, the province provided loans worth VND107 billion to, built 1,187 charity houses with a total cost of VND20.5 billion, granted health insurance cards to almost 228,423 poor people, give scholarships worth more than VND6 billion. Besides, the province has launched programs for agricultural promotion to give poor households experience in farming.
