Cargill raises $224,000 for educational charity

A charity day in Bien Hoa city raised some VND4 billion for educational funds in Vietnam.

A charity day in Bien Hoa city raised some VND4 billion for educational funds in Vietnam 

The event in the capital of Dong Nai Province was held by US corporate giant Cargill.

Donors put forward VND1.9 billion (US$106,000) on the day, while Cargill committed to donating an additional VND2.1 billion after the event.

The funds would be used for scholarships, building schools, and buying school supplies and materials for poor and disabled students and orphans, said the group.
