(ĐN)- Responding to the “Action Month for the Poor” launched by Dong Nai provincial Fatherland Front Committee, 52 organizations and individuals in the province donated nearly VND300 million to fund for the poor. Particularly, Dong Nai Food Industry Corporation (Donataba) contributed VND50 million, Bien Hoa Packaging J.S Company (Sovi) gave VND30 million, Dong Nai Tourism J.S Company offered VND15 million, etc.
From the beginning of the year until now, the Provincial Fund for the Poor raised nearly VND10 billion to help poor households to overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives. Accordingly, the province built and handed over 674 charity houses worth VND8.7 billion to the poor, upgraded 73 other houses with a total cost of VND142 million. Besides, many disadvantaged people received help for housing, employment, health and others.
