Together with the family of the Colonel at the service were Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Dong Nai’s current and former leaders, revolutionary veterans, representatives from agencies and people from Bien Hoa city.
With 89 years of age and 60 years of Party membership, Colonel Tran Cong An made important contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation. The Party and the State presented Colonel Tran Cong An with many noble awards, including Hero of the People’s Armed Forces, 60-year Party membership insignia and many other noble orders and medals. The life of Colonel Tran Cong An is an example for compatriots, cadres and soldiers to show love and respect and to follow forever.
A burial service was held in line with the tradition for Colonel Tran Cong An in Rua island, Thanh Hoi commune, Tan Uyen district, Binh Duong province on September 11.
