Over the past ten years, the movement to encourage all people build a cultural life has been expanded in Dong Nai while the gap on cultural enjoyment between urban and rural areas has been narrowed. Besides, the movement has mobilized people to abolish backward customs and practices related to marriage and family, promote fine traditions, customs and practices. Festivals are organized in the province with the aim of preserving and developing traditional Vietnamese culture.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga stressed the need to promote investment in cultural projects that benefit the province and to develop the socialization of cultural activities in order to mobilize resources and social creativeness to invest in cultural projects, helping further enhance the province’s capabilities to host international events with cultural tourism becoming increasingly important to provincial economy.
