Thai and 45 others are now in court to hear their sentences.

Thai was arrested and prosecuted for swindling state assets, tax evasion and forging documents, while former directors and staff of Thai’s satellite companies were prosecuted for similar crimes.

The court also prosecuted the former director and staff from the Price Appraisal Centre under the Ministry of Finance, along with tax staff, for irresponsibility.

Other directors, deputy directors and senior staff at the country’s post offices relating to the case were also prosecuted for deliberately violating regulations.
