(ĐN)- According to the report from the provincial Red Cross Association, in 2007, the association mobilized nearly VND36 billion from organizations and individuals inside and outside the province to help flood victims, policy families, poor households, and AO victims. Accordingly, the association raised money to build rural traffic roads, provide free checks up and medicines to the poor. Especially, it mobilized 7,653 people participating in blood donations. Total expenditure for the programmes was nearly VND36 billion, achieving 122 percent of the year’s plan.
In 2008, the association will continue to strive to raise quality and effective of the social activities.
