A closing ceremony of school year 2006-2007 held

Deputy Minister Dang Huynh Mai and Director Le Ming Hoang meet students who ranked first in university entrance exams

(ĐN)- Speaking at the closing ceremony of school year 2006-2007 organized by Dong Nai Department of Training and Education on August 8, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Dang Huynh Mai said that with good training results in the past time, Dong Nai took lead in emulation movements among South-Eastern provinces. She stressed that Dong Nai needs to make more efforts to further raise the quality of education. Moreover, she also underlined the need to raise teachers’ professional skills and knowledge and students’ responsibility to study.

In the school year of 2006-2007,  the province made many efforts to develop pre-school education; accordingly, the rate of malnourished children was reduced significantly. The province invested to upgrade and repair schools, improve school facilities to meet the needs of the students. However, Dong Nai province’s education sector faces obstacles such as lack of teachers, lack of learning and teaching facilities and materials, etc.

At the closing ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee Huynh Thi Nga suggested the Department, schools and related agencies should pay attention to heighten teaching skills and enhance professional ethics. Director of Training and Education Department Le Minh Hoang said that the Department will strictly hold final exams so as to assess the true quality of education.
