The seven best golfers from the Viet Nam Final in Dong Nai Province will represent their country at the Australian Open in August, said tournament organisers Mercedes-Benz Viet Nam.

The competition saw 216 players from 11 teams across the country try to qualify for an Aussie Open spot last weekend at the Long Thanh Golf Club.

As in previous years, the seven best golfers will play teams from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, South Korea and Sri Lanka.

One golfer will represent Viet Nam at the World Final in Stuttgart, Germany, in September and face golfers from 32 other countries.

According to Andreas Binder, the company’s director of sales and marketing, the tournament will give Vietnamese golfers the chance to compete internationally.
