(ĐN)-Recently, the Provincial Committee for Population, Family, and Children in cooperation with Dong Nai Children Hospital provided free eye check-ups to 1,814 children with eye diseases from 171 communes throughout the province. Out of them, 222 children will receive free eye surgery to prevent avoidable blindness and vision loss by the end of July, 2007. This is a part of “Save Children’s Sight” programme donated by ORBIS (US) in the period of 2006-2009.
